THE TREAD WISELY POLICY

Enquiries for our TREAD-WISELY scheme are welcomed from both brokers and from the trade directly.

Insurance brokers should submit a fully documented presentation with, where appropriate, supporting photographs. Please note that where a presentation has been submitted to an insurer most are reluctant to quote scheme rates.

Enquiries from tyre traders should be sent to us at least one month before renewal is due. A good way to start is to send a copy of your existing insurance policy schedule plus a note of any changes you need to make.

Photographs of doors etc showing locks and bolts are always helpful as are details of any alarm system, eg red care, bells only or central station.

Please tell us how long you have been trading at this and other sites and tell us of any claims including any potential claims that have been made against the firm.

If you are a member of any trade group or network please tell us. This will often help.

And finally tell us what your premium was last year, but remember, setting a low target premium may well result in the underwriter not spending time looking at the proposal. The demand for a Tread-Wisely policy remains extremely high and the insurer will normally only consider the better risks.
